Here are some haiku for you!
Stickball players about
as moonlight floods their field
from curb to curb
The young artist takes
pains to paint a masterpiece:
a smiling pumpkin
shatters the frigid stillness
of a crystal night
Fluttering of wings
birds fight at the bird feeder
swinging in the oak
all the whole night long
in eyes of carousel ponies
you can see light shine
November evening--
the wind from a passing truck
ripples roadside puddles.
Cor ven den Heuvel
from the tar papered
tenement roof, the pigeons
hot-foot into flight

I have not heard of haiku. What does it mean to write haiku? What are some rules you use when writing haiku? - Cecelia
ReplyDeleteHi Cecelia, thanks for your questions. I will be adding more information about haiku on The Writing Corner page.
